Great mountain views in all directions and perfect for "Off the grid" living or just a place to come for a week and camp out. It is accessible by county maintained roads for most of the year except for periods of heavy snow, which is normally gone with a few days of sunshine. There are few trees here in the valley with mainly sage brush so don't worry about having to keep up any kind of landscape. Just get out and explore with your ATV or horse. The nearest town is San Luis with a few grocery stores and a Dollar store but your best bet for larger box stores is in Alamosa which is 55 miles to the northwest. You don't have many neighbors right up under you. The closest ski area (Red River) is 45 miles to the southeast in New Mexico. You can hunt on some BLM land which is 2 hours from this lot. There is also plenty of managed hunts for Bighorn Sheep, Elk and Mule Deer on private land (mainly the Trinchera Ranch, an expansive 172,000 acre world class hunting ranch) to the east of you in the Sangre De Cristo mountain range. There is great fishing in the northern reaches of the Rio Grande River near Del Norte and Monte Vista.
